These spindles, used in the ceramic industry, are prone to heavy corrosion and contamination.
MZI Precision engineered and manufactured a new nut to help reduce the ingress of contamination. After running their upgraded spindles for a couple of months, the customer has ordered several more.
They will be installing them on all their like-model spindles.
Out of Sight!
Not all spindle upgrades are visible to the naked eye.
This spindle arrived with a pair of radial bearings on the top end, and there was no possibility of loading. We installed a pair of super-precision angular contact 15° bearings in a back-to-back configuration.
Higher-quality bearings increase the rigidity and minimize the noise factor.
